Empowering Nepal's Remote Communities through Health, Education, and Women's Empowerment

About Bodhi Tree Foundation Humla

Bodhi Tree Foundation Humla was established in February 2014 in Humla, Nepal. The foundation aims to support health, education, energy, local small industries and businesses, and women’s empowerment programs. Highly motivated individuals are involved in this NGO, dedicated to transforming societies in the most remote areas of the Himalayan region of Karnali, Nepal.

BTF Humla has been actively involved in Humla since its inception in 2014. After 2015, the NGO expanded its activities to various regions of the Himalayas, assisting in education, health, solar energy, and women’s empowerment sectors. One of our biggest aims is to empower women in remote areas of western Nepal and eliminate the Chhaupadi system in the Karnali region, focusing on literacy and economic development by producing local products, branding them, and bringing them to market. Additionally, we have contributed to rebuilding schools and women’s centers in Nepal. Our NGO has achieved more than we expected in the past ten years, and we are confident we will achieve even more in the near future.
