BTF Humla has been actively involved in responding to various natural disasters, including earthquakes, landslides, house fires, the COVID-19 pandemic, and other emergencies. Our efforts focus on providing immediate relief and long-term support to affected communities in Nepal.

Earthquake Response and Recovery:

  • 2015 Earthquake Relief: Following the devastating earthquake in 2015, BTF Humla rebuilt 245 temporary houses for residents of Banskharka village in Sindhupalchok district. We were the first to establish a tented school in Banskharka, constructing 14 tent classrooms to ensure that education for school children could continue without interruption. Additionally, we helped rebuild the health post in Banskharka and provided a drinking water supply system that benefited over 300 households.
  • School Reconstruction in Listi Village: In Sindhupalchok district’s Listi village, BTF Humla successfully rebuilt the local school, equipping it with all necessary infrastructure, books, copies, and other stationery. We also distributed kitchen equipment to over 400 households in the district, ensuring that families had the essentials to resume normal life.
  • Emergency Supplies Distribution: During the earthquake relief efforts, BTF Humla distributed more than 2,000 tents, solar lights, and food supplies to affected families.

Support During Other Disasters:

  • Forest Fire Assistance: BTF Humla assisted four families from Humla district who were in critical condition due to a forest fire. We covered their hospital and transportation bills, ensuring they received the necessary medical care and support.

COVID-19 Pandemic Response:

  • Medical and Supply Aid: During the COVID-19 pandemic, BTF Humla provided essential medical supplies, food, and other necessities to those affected by the crisis.

Our ongoing commitment to disaster response and recovery aims to rebuild lives and communities, providing hope and stability in the face of adversity. BTF Humla will continue to stand by the people of Nepal, ready to respond to any emergency or disaster that may arise.
